Autothermal Reforming in the Energy Transition

As the market for renewable energy sources continues to develop, the process of autothermal reforming (ATR) is expected to be a key technology for blue hydrogen production.

Conventionally used for syngas production or secondary reforming, the ATR process combines the partial oxidation and steam reforming reactions in a single step to produce syngas. This process offers significant advantages for low-carbon hydrogen production such as high levels of CO2 capture, economies of scale, low capital and operating costs within the hydrogen plant.

In this webinar, the experts at KPE evaluate the expected role of ATR technology in the global energy transition, including its advantages compared to alternative methods of hydrogen production.

Key highlights include:

• Suitable applications of ATR

• Benefits of the process configuration

• Compare/contrast to other hydrogen production technologies
